Summer Dressing

The weather here in So Cal has been weird; warm one day, then cloudy and breezy the next.  And no, El Nino hasn’t and likely won’t make its appearance for the remainder of spring.  Talk about a dud.  But I digress…

Today I want to tell you about a summer dress I recently purchased online from the Emerson Frye (EF) Outlet.  Emerson Frye, if you aren’t familiar, is a small, independent clothing company based in New Hampshire.  Their website says that  their mission “is to enhance self expression with minimal impact on our surroundings”.  Most of their pieces are made in the USA but they also produce small capsule collections in places like India and Italy.

The moment I put on the Aura dress I knew I was going to love it. It is an A-line style, made from 100% linen, and made in New York.  I would describe the linen material as a heavier weight but with a very airy and moveable feel to it.  I also love that the dress has pockets! And I love how you can change up the straps to suit your mood.   As I mentioned, I bought the dress from the online EF Outlet but it has since sold out.  However, if you’re interested, I found this website that carries the Aura dress in a pretty navy blue.
