After 1 week of wearing my No. 6 clogs, I’m totally in love with them. When I first got them and tried them on they felt very snug and I thought I should have sized up to a 39 instead of the 38. After a few days of wearing them daily, the clogs have stretched a bit and feel like they were custom made for my feet. One thing I will caution though, if you are prone to turning your ankles like I am, walk carefully in this particular style which are the 3-inch, front seem wedge clogs. I just need to remember to not walk too quickly and definitely, no running!
I do love how these clogs go with practically everything I wear. I’ve worn them with long dresses, shorts, pants, jeans. You get the idea…
Isn’t it funny how something as simple as switching out a pair of shoes can change an outfit so dramatically? I first had this outfit paired with my high heeled EF sandals. I felt (and looked) a bit more formal than I wanted to. So I decided to look in my closet again and came up with these Clark’s leather flats that I’ve had for awhile but are oh-so-comfy! I ended up liking how they looked with the dress and blazer so that’s what I decided on footwear-wise.
The casualness of the outfit was interrupted just slightly by the Isabel Marant blazer which can make any outfit a little more chic, don’t you think?
I’m also getting a lot of wear out of this dress . By James Perse, it’s quite form hugging but at the same time super comfortable. The fabric is very stretchy and soft and I’m so glad I went down a size from 2 to 1 because the fit is so much better. The size 2 just had too many loose “sections”, shall we say. As you can see, the dress is what’s known as “midi” length, where it hits just at mid-calf. This can make walking a little tricky if you’re someone who likes taking big steps in your stride, so keep that in mind if you decide to order this dress. I love the dress so much that I just take smaller steps, problem solved.
My love affair with Eileen continues with these amazing sandals I recently purchased. I love this color which is called “Sand” because a neutral shade like this goes with just about everything, doesn’t it? And the heel height, a nice 3 inches, makes me feel so statuesque on my otherwise average 5 feet 5 inch frame. Before you start lamenting that 3 inches is way too high for you, let me tell you that these shoes do not really feel like they are 3 inches tall. The heel is what’s called “stacked” which thus contributes to the above average comfort level of these shoes. The shoes feel quite sturdy and comfortable actually, even during my 4 hours of standing at work the other day. I love these sandals so much that I just ordered them in black.
Do you love the look of a sleek liquid eyeliner but lack the, let’s say, dexterity to actually apply this without resembling a raccoon? Well, look no further because I’ve found the most user friendly liquid-like eyeliner out there, I believe. It’s this one, Eyeliner Effet Faux Cils Bold Felt-Tip Eyeliner Penfrom Yves St. Laurent. It really is like a felt-tip pen and it goes on so smoothly and easily that it’s practically fool-proof. And ladies, believe me, I have tried them all! At $34, I call this an investment for the eyes and well worth it. The additional plus is there is absolutely no flaking and it’s long-wearing, AND, one tube of this stuff lasts about 2 months (and this is with daily use). Remarkable!
